Survey and excavations were conducted in the Ghor es-Safi from 1997 to 2018. The project was sponsored by the Hellenic Society for Near Eastern Studies and supported by the Palestine Exploration Fund and other institutions in collaboration with the Department of Antiquities of Jordan.
